New G2 Autotrail Safari Residence

The G1 Autotrail Residence Room has been are best selling Residence Room for for many Years. With the introduction of the NEW improved G2 system, The following section is important for users to read.

Autotrail have fitted recessed Omnistor awnings by preference  from the year 2000 to the present day. Various model Omnistor awnings have been used which are listed below. They currently fit the 5003 model in colour Alaska Grey.

Identifying your Rollout Awning.

The following awnings have been used by Autotrail

5000   (2000-2002)    Colour 18 Bahamas Turquoise

5500  (2000 - 2002)    Colour 18 Bahamas Turquoise

5002  (2002 onwards)  Colour 18 Bahamas Turquoise

5003 ( 2010 onwards) Colour 04 Alaska Grey

In most cases a visible label is viewable inside the awning box towards the gear winding end. The label will state the size and colour.

Room Measurements

In many cases the Room System will compromise of standard measurements and sizes. In some cases a special made room will have to be made. This normally takes 4-5 weks whereas standard rooms should be available from stock. We would ask that you check the following to determine was format your room will be under.

1) Wind awning fully out.

2) Set the front rail height to 1.85m off the ground.

3) Open the habitation door and check whether the door hits the awning support arm.

If this is the case the G2 room will be made as a made to measure. If the door clears the support arm it will be classed as a standard room normally straight from stock.

Room Colour

As the NEW improved G2 Residence Room has now taken over from the G1, the colour choice will change too. Omnistor awning PRE 2010 were manufactured in colour 18 Bahamas Turquoise. This colour has been withdrawn although we may have limited stock for a short time. We would recomend that in these circumstances that the self colour Ral 9002 would look best . For post 2010 awnings the awning fabric would be Alaska Grey 04. This is a current colour.
